The Beginning

I am a Christian. I look to Christ as my savior and redeemer. He is the perfect example in all things, and the one I choose to emulate.

I also look around, and I see that Christ and Christianity have been hijacked by the right. It has become conventional wisdom that if you are a faithful Christian, then you are also a conservative republican. However I believe this conventional wisdom is wrong, and that there is a strong need for alternative voices.

In this blog I want to explore this issue. I want to search the scriptures and see if I can show how Christianity is a religion with a primary focus of peace, loving our fellow men, caring for the poor, and taking care of others. I look forward to the exploration.
